Christian Nayar

Mr Christian Nayar

Mr Christian Nayar is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with expertise in managing male Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms and prostate issues. He has worked at the County NHS Trust in Hereford since 2015 and is the Clinical Lead for Urology.

Christian graduated from St Andrews University (Scotland) and did his Clinical Studies in Manchester, graduating in 2001. He undertook his basic surgical training in Stoke-on –Trent.

He then underwent his Specialist Urological Training in the West Midlands Deanery, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2013.

Following this, he completed a Fellowship Year at the prestigious Bristol Urological Institute in 2014, covering all aspects of Urology but with a particular interest in Urodynamics and Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms.

Christian is a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers and regularly acts as an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons Examinations.

Mr. Wasim Mahmalji

Mr. Wasim Mahmalji is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Wye Valley NHS Trust, UK. He completed his urological training in South London/Thames in 2015 and became one of the youngest consultants in the UK at age 34.

He specialises in stone disease, core urology, endourology, and education and has performed over 8,000 urological procedures. He was the first surgeon to offer the UroLift and Rezum procedures on the NHS in the West Midlands, and the first in the UK to use a deflectable access sheath.

Mr. Mahmalji is the Stone and Education Lead at his hospital and serves as the West Midlands Urology Audit Lead. He is actively involved in audit, research, teaching, and training for undergraduate and postgraduate students, and chairs the West Midlands Urology Audit and Research Meetings. He is also the Senior Academy Tutor for International Medical Education at the John Ross Postgraduate Medical Centre.

He has delivered multiple podium presentations at leading conferences, including the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS), and the European Association of Urology (EAU). He has won and been shortlisted for multiple urological awards, conducted various audits and quality improvement projects, and is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Endoluminal Endourology.

Mr. Mahmalji has contributed to three urological book chapters and has been a lead or co-author of over 50 publications, with more pending. He is also a reviewer for journals including the British Journal of Urology International, International Journal of STD & AIDS, The Ageing Male, and The Journal of Clinical Urology. His expertise has been featured on both national and regional television and media.
