Once present, cataracts are highly unlikely to spontaneously improve and the only treatment is surgical. Fortunately, thanks to modern microsurgical techniques, the day case procedure is easy to undergo and the overwhelming majority of patients are delighted with the outcome.

Costs for private cataract surgery vary depending on the type of lens chosen, starting from £2,790 per eye for monofocal lens use. All costs quoted include your surgeon’s fee, all clinic / hospital costs, your lens, and your postoperative consultation(s).
